Cannot reverse synchronize - is this to be expected.

Hello.
I am trying to get a single user's Entourage to connect with our
Exchange (2003 SP2 Enterprise) server. The user is using Entourage
11.3.3.

I set up the account according to the directions, and Entourage
picks up the mail for this account just fine; folders and all.
However, any changes I make in Entourage do not appear to make it to
the Exchange server. If I use OWA, any folder I make, and e-mail I
create or delete or move all gets picked up when I synchronize
Entourage. However, if I do the same in Entourage, the OWA (or
interfacing with Exchange via Outlook 2003) will not reflect those
changes. Is there a way to do this or is this a limitation of
Entourage?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I suggest you verify that your Exchange Server software is up to service
pack 2 and fully patched. My company had a similar issue where changes
made in Entourage were not uploaded to the server when connected using
my OWA connection. I suspect an update to the server at some point
corrected this but I can't be 100% sure.

Also, this problem typically just affects connections that use the same
server information as OWA. If you're within your company's firewall you
should be using the name of your Exchange server rather than the OWA
address for best results. Synchronization should work both ways this way.

Hope this helps! bill
