When I receive an excel (office 2007) file as an attachment in 2003 or older
format (.xls) and try to save the attachment I cannot save it in the 2007
format (.xlxs). I can change the name but not the format. If I save it first
as a .xls file then most of the time I get a "file in use/file locked" error
when I try to open in again. Even if I could open and then save as .xlsx I
would then have two copies of the file. Is there a better way to manage this
problem?
