Cannot Save Project Details

Could someone advise why - when i open up a project plan
that is linked to Project Server - i cannot make any
changes to the project plan, because the public buttons
e.g 'save' button is greyed out.

You may not have permission to save files on Project Server.

The thing is it was working fine before.

How do i check permissions on project server?

Is the plan checked out and you're getting read only copy?
