Cannot search numeric in Excel files

When I try to search nemeric values in Excel Files from
Windows Search it does not bring it. I used to put the
value I am looking for in "Containing Text" field on
Windows search. It will bring the file name where I
specify to search.
It worked fine it Win95. It does not work in W2K. Can you
please shed some light.
