Cannot Send e-mails

I have followed all the prescribed solutions to not being
able to send e-mails and still my e-mail just sits in my
outbox. It does not matter weather I am at work on the
network or at home on a analog phone line. Please help.

It happened to me too. Assuming it's an POP/SMTP
account, try Tools - Email Accounts - View or change
existing accounts - Select Account and click Change -
More Settings - Outgoing Server tab - check the "My
outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" Restart
Outlook, then try sending a message again. Note: You'll
have to copy and paste your text from the message in your
Outbox to a new message, as you can't resend the one
sitting there now. Just delete it. Should work now.

I am having the same issue. Have changed server settings
as you recommend here; other settings are all correct (POP
accts). Now the unsent message does appear in bold, but
not italics like in prev. Outlook versions.
Test messages work fine. HELP -this is maddening!

I don't believe that's true. My experience indicates that opening the
message in the Outbox and clicking Send again does the job.
