cannot send email from my new business address-Outlook EXp. 5.0.2

Even though I followed set up to the letter and checked "SMTP server
requires authentication" in the advanced sending options I still get an
error the server did not recognize the recipients, and that the email
address relaying denied proper authentication required. My web host
canaca.com can't help me anymore, and said it was an Outlook Express issue
at this point. I'm using Mac sys. 9.2.2 with Outlook Express 5.0.2. Any
suggestions?

Stick with the SMTP server belonging to the ISP to which you are
connected. You don't necessarily need to use your web host's SMTP
server.

Also, you should upgrade to the latest version of Outlook Express:
5.06.

I've crossposted and set followups to the Outlook Express newsgroup,
you posted to the Outlook newsgroup.
