Cannot send pop3 messages through outlook but can recieve them

I have a yahoo account which I access through outlook and have done so for
years. After recently wiping my pc and re-installing I can receieve messages
in outlook but cannot send them. The addresses are correct and details such
as username etc are correct. Its not linked to my norton anti virus as I
uninstalled it and re-tried.....any ideas?

Make sure you're properly authenticating to the outgoing server.

yahoo changed to ATT....go to their web site and get the pop changes and
settings...cant remember the address change but if your on something other
than dial up, leave your number setting alone....drove my wifes company
crazy cause they changed the settings and notified by email later on....good
luck
