Cannot Send, Reply or Use Most Options in Outlook 2007

Hello,
I have a unique problem with Outlook 2007 that I do not have with
Outlook Express for my Windows XP computer.

I can recieve emails from my email address and that's all it seems. If I
open the email I can not edit text or write in the email box, and there is no
Send button in that window either even if I was able to write text in the
email. When I open the email the "Reply, Reply to All, Forward, Forward to
All, Call, Move to Folder, Creature Rule, Categorize, Follow Up and the Not
Junk" buttons are all greyed out and I cannot click them. The rest of the
buttons like "Block Sender", "Delete", "Mark as Unread" and "Send to OneNote"
seem to be working fine.

When I'm just on the regular Outlook 2007 program the "New Message" button
is greyed out and cannot be used along with the "Reply", "Replay to All",
"Forward", "Categorize", "Follow Up" and "Create Rule" buttons.

The "Print", "Move to Folder", "Delete", "Send Selected to OneNote",
"Send/Recieve" and "Address Book" buttons work fine.

If I go into Tools the "Options" and "Customize" text to enter their windows
is greyed out and cannot be used but the rest works fine...

I have no idea why this is happening, can anyone help me please?
