Cannot show landscape during preview

Excel 2000 cannot show landscape during preview. After
selecting Landscape in Setup during preview mode, it still
displays the document in Portrait mode.

This problem may not be due to Excel itself, but to how it's interacting with
the selected printer driver. Do other applications with preview features, e.g.,
Word, have trouble previewing in landscape mode? If not, then there could be
problems in your Excel program files, in which case reinstalling Excel would be
expedient.
