Cannot use Enter Key in my UserForm TexBox

T

Therod

I have created a UserForm which works great, except, when the text box
appears I can type info but when I try to get to a new line by pressing Enter
it acts as a tab and moves the cursor to the next TextBox.
How do I fox this?

Seems like the macros in the following article are in effect:

How to code the ENTER key to move between form fields in a protected
form in Word
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/211219/en-us

The macros prevent the insertion of paragraphs in form fields.

Have you tried to press Shift+Enter to insert a line break instead?

Is this a UserForm (custom dialog box) or an Online form (protected word
document with special fields inserted using the Forms toolbar)? Stephan gave
you the source for online forms. To fix it, you remove the macro.

A workaround in an Online form would be to press Shift-Enter and insert a
manual line break.

Whoever created the form, though, put the macro in there for a reason. The
usual reasons are that people want to use Enter to move to the next field or
that when the Enter key is pressed it messes up the formatting.

If you are working with an online form, Dian Chapman has an excellent series
of articles that you probably want to read. You can find them at
