I have been using Office 2003 since its release. Yesterday, I loaded
the Office 2003 SP1. The upgrade went fine, no errors or messages,
but now when I reply to a message, I receive a notification that "Word
is set as your e-mail editor. However, Word is not installed, not
available or not the same version as Outlook. The Outlook e-mail
editor will be used instead".
As I said, both apps started as the same version, but since the SP1
install, this message has been appearing. Yes, I rebooted, no, I did
not uninstall, detect and repair or chant and pray over it.
There are other posts on the board with the same error/warning
message, but none pertaining to SP1. So far, I have seen no direct
response from Microsoft acknowledging or repairing such a message and
all other responses say "use detect/repair", but noone has said that
this fixed it.
Any new ideas greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave
