What migration box? Do you get an error message? What is the exact message?
Does the rest of the suite install? Can you perform a maintenance installation (control panel->add/remove programs->Microsoft Office->Change->repair)

when you 1st open outlook a box comes up and says:
configuring outlook
migrating account settings
migrating preferences
importing user data
it never gets past migrating account settings, it stops there and hangs. all
else in office 2007 works fine. i have tried to uninstall and install again
to no avail...all other office products have been completely removed from
this computer.

Have you tried walking away for 15 minutes to see if it completes? When first installed on my desktop, it took a bit to get all the bits going (5 gig mailbox, several accounts including Exchange, huge PFs, etc.)

I fixed mine...
MY solution:
Uninstall Office 2007 and re-install 2003. Opened Office 2003 and
delete all accounts. Re-install 2007 and it worked.

I have the same Issue Jerry G has. Read the beginning of the thread. I only
have this issue with my exchange 2003 profile. I deleted all my profiles and
started from scratch and made a new profile. It still hangs and hangs until I
kill outlook. Then I restart outlook in safe mode and it hangs and hangs. I
dont understand why you cant use outlook 2007 with an exchange 2003 profile.
By the way my pop email works fine!

Not much of a solution...I did the same thing but that still doesnt answer

I solved the problem by entering:
[path of msoffice12]\outlook.exe /cleanprofile
And creating a new profile name, different from "Outlook"
Try it!
