I have Office 2007 home and Student Licensed version installed in my Laptop
(OS- XP) , Now I have purchased a new workstation for my office In which I
have installed MS office 2007 professional licensed version (OS-XP).

Now when I transfer my files from my notebook to my workstation, I promts
with the following Error message

"Excel cannot open the file 'XXX.xlsx' becasue the file format or file
extension is not valid. verify that the file has not been corrupted and that
the file extenson matches the format of the file"

But when I tranfer the same file back to the Notebook its working perfectly
and this issue is Vise versa. neither of the files ( Excel, word, powerpoint)
are working.

My collegue got the same student version in his notebook and he too wont be
able to open the files that he created with this version of office.

When we try to open a file created in office 2007 professional version with
Student version gives us the same error message as above.

Please note that both of our versions are genuine.

What means are you using to transfer files from the laptop to the desktop?
And what occurs when you transfer a file created on your dektop pc to your
laptop?
