Can't access FrontPage files

I had to reinstall FP 2002 and am now having a problem. When I attempt to
open files I am getting an error message that reads: System exception:
access violation" and then FP locks up. I have searched the MS knowledgebase
and could only find something relating to FP 98, which didn't work for me.
If anyone can help I would appreaciate it.
