Can't activate new font despite following online instructions

I downloaded a free 'Architect' font from www.WebpageFonts.com, and installed
as instructed by Microsoft Office Assistance. I tried to use in a word
document but when selected, another font takes its place each time. What
could I be doing wrong?

Thanks, Mary. In answer to your questions: 1) the font did not look as
sharp as I had expected; 2) there is no other font by this name in the font
folder or anywhere else, and 3) yes, I did drag the thing several times to
the font folder however, Word goes back to Times Roman each time I want to
use it in a document.

Would TweakUI help in installing or making the font look sharper? Again,
many thanks for your support.

FWIW, I downloaded it here and installed it by opening Start|Control
Panel|Fonts and dragging the TTF file into that folder. I got the little
"installing" message box, and when I applied the font to text in Word 2003,
it worked just fine. So the font itself seems to be okay.

You might delete it from your fonts folder and reboot then download again
and install again. You can also try installing by going to Start|Control
Panel|Fonts and choosing File|Install New Font. I've had trouble installing
fonts by dragging them to the font folder. Seems unlikely, but maybe that's
what's happened here?

Now, when say Word "goes back" to TNR, what exactly do you mean? What
happens when you select text and then select the Architect font from the
font face dropdown box on the toolbar? Does it just not apply the Architect
font?
