PPT 2003
I've been doing this for quite some time now (off and on) and haven't run
into this. Only two weeks ago, we switched to PPT 2003. I have a 13-slide
file that was given to me to simply fix the formatting - no brainer, right!
I understand that 2003 works with multiple masters (finally) and adjusts
font to fit (which I disabled ... I wanted control).
Well ... I modified the master and was ready to go. When I tred to reapply
the design from the modified master (click the master in the task pane -
apply to selected), it kind-a worked for some and not others. For those
that took on the modified layout - the look was close but font sizes were
wrong. I hadn't created a master with those sizes. So, I'd go back into
the master - low and behold, it had changed. WTF. So, I'd change it back,
close out ... reapply and this behaviour continued. It was a vicious
circle. For other slides ... they wouldn't even take on the layout ...
although they would change ... but to "all" wrong font sizes and indents
(made me crazy).
Why is this happening? I don't understand. Reapply design layout or
whatever it's called used to work just great ... so ... is it me? or is it
the program?
I ended up having to manually set the font on each line of all the slides -
anything but efficient.
Thanks for your suggestions.
