Can't apply different first page to the whole document to remove .

I can't remove first page header by checking off "Different first page" and
"Apply to whole document" .When I go back to Layout tab,"Apply to" box
always is changed on "This section".I'll appreciate your tips on this
matter.Thanks.

Two possibilities occur to me: 1. The document is so large that it can't
process "apply to whole document"; 2) this document's internal structure has
been damaged.

Are you able to remove the setting from individual sections?
