Can't change margin settings

I have scanned and edited a multipage document. When I
try to set the margins for all pages of the document I get
an error message that says, "Settings you chose for left
and right margins, column spacing, or paragraph indents
are too large for page widgh in some sections."

How do I figure out what is causing the problem? I want
to set the document at Top .7, Bottom .7, Right .7 and
Left 1.3.

Examining the document, I don't see why all should not fit
in this setting. I keep getting settings that I did not
put in and were perhaps carried over from the scanned
document. If this is true, how do I cancel the margin
settings that appear to be carrying over.

Did you try to set the margines using the page set up under file, at the begining of the document. I found if I set it the magrins at the begining of the document, it retains them throughout.
