can't change paper setup

I am using Windows XP and my printer is a Canon i550. I cannot get the page
setup to accept A3. I know the printer doesn't take A3 paper but I want to
print it on another computer. How can I change the setup?

Hi, Lynne. Install a printer driver for the printer that you'll eventually
print this on. Configure this printer to print to the FILE: port instead of
LPT1:. Make this printer your default or currently selected printer. Then
you can change to A3 in Word.
