Can't connect from MS Project 2003 to Project 2003 server

I can connect to Project server by using my lan address,
but I get an error:

You do not have permission to view this directory or page
using the credentials that you supplied because your Web
browser is sending a WWW-Authenticate header field that
the Web server is not configured to accept.

When trying to connect via my wan address.

Is there a specific port other than 80 that I need to
open up on my router to be able to connect remotely?

Or is it an IIS configuration?

There are only two ways that you can connect the Project Pro 2003 to Project
Server 2003. Windows authentication using a valid windows account in the
form of "domain name\ user name" and a password. Or you can use a PWA
account that has been setup by the system administrator. It also has a user
name and password. First determine which of these account types you need to
use. Then, in the Project Pro 2003 client go to Tools\Enterprise
Options\Microsoft Office Project Server Accounts and open the account dialog
box. You will have a default account that is local called "My Computer" and
it is probably the default account if there are no others. Select the Add
button and when you see the next screen, put in the Account Name, the
Project Server URL, then select which type of account you will be using,
Windows or a PWA account. You can then set it as the default account if you
like. Go to Collaborate\Collaboration Options, check to make sure the server
URL is correct. Check which type of account you are going to use. Put in
your e-mail address, for notifications, and pick the Set as Default button
on the bottom. Restart Project Pro 2003 and try to connect to PWA. If that
does not work there may be other problems that are not so obvious.
