cant connect to 2003 Project server via 2003 project pro

folks listed below are errors I receive when trying to connect my laqptop
using 2003 project pro to an existing project server.

SQL state : '01000'
SQL Server Error: 53
[Microsoft][ ODBS SQL Server Driver DBNETLIB ConnectionOpen (Connect()).
Connection failed
SQLState '08001'
SQL Server Error 17
[micorsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver ][DBNETLIB}SQL Server does not exist or
access denied

I am able to connect to the project server via the web but not through the
client so no projects can be published. Any help would grealty be
appreciated. Although this is project related I posted it here because the
server seems to be running fine and SQL is whats giving me the hard time. I
thank everyone in advance for replies.

Hi
Make sure your SQL server authentication is mixed mode and not windows only.
Also make sure that there were no changes made to the existing passwords
