Can't connect to conference calls with access codes using skype.

I am having a problem connecting to phone bridge/conference calls. I would
like to connect to conference calls using phone numbers and access codes.
For instance, when attempt to join conference calls using such phone numbers
as 312-555-5512 access code 1234#, I can not join the conference. Can
someone please instruct me on how to get into conference call using access
codes?
