Can't create a new docuememtn in word

I can't create a new docement in word. If I try to open an old document I
get a messgase that it is locked. What is wrong?

I'd recommend asking this in one of the many newsgroups related to Word
(they start microsoft.public.word)

This newsgroup is for questions dealing with security in Access, the
database product that's part of Office Professional.
