Can't delete a date from a cylindrical timeline interval

Hi folks - I can't figure this one out. Visio 2007. Creating a cylindrical
timeline, adding a cylindrical interval. I don't want the dates for the
interval to appear but I can't get rid of them. I have done Select, rt-click,
Format, Protection, and unchecked 'From deletion' - but I keep getting [Shape
protection and or layer properties prevent complete execution of this
command].

How can I get rid of these dates?

menu View -> Drawing Explorer Window
Look in the Foreground pages section to find the appropriate page and
the interval shape. Expand the interval shape and look at the
sub-shape 2nd from the bottom, selecting this will be the part of the
shape showing the interval dates. Menu Window -. Show Shapesheet
and scroll down to the Miscellaneous section and enter True into the
HideText cell.
