Can't delete or move from Inbox

I cannot delete or move E-mail that is in the Inbox. The
following message occurs when I attempt to delete:
THE MESSAGING INTERFACE HAS RETURNED AN UNKNOWN ERROR. IF
THE PROBLEM PERSISTS RESTART OUTLOOK.
Restart Outlook or Windows does not help, neither does re-
installing Outlook. Anyone have any help?
