Can't delete private appointment on public calendar

GrHopp

We have a public resource calendar (conference room) and I created a private
appointment on it. I am unable to modify, change or delete the appointment.
Nothing I do will allow me to modify the appointment, even though I believe I
created it.

The calendar default permission is set to Author and my permission is Owner.

Outlook 2003 SP2 and Exchange 2003.

By "public resource calendar," do you mean a folder in the Public Folders hierarchy or a Calendar folder in a mailbox configured as a resource?

I meant a Calendar folder in what I didnt' know at the time was a mailbox.
We actually figured this out by enabling the user account associated with the
calendar and logging onto the network as that user.

This is the *only* way a private meeting can be deleted, to my knowledge.
What are your thoughts?

Thanks for your reply,

That makes perfect sense.

Another thing to try might be to change the delegate settings for that calendar folder to allow other users to see private items. I'm not sure if that will let you delete them, though.
