can't delete shapes...

Hi

I'm having trouble deleting/modifying shapes and it's driving me crazy. When
I attempt to resize or manipulate the shape in any way I get the message:

"Shape protection and/or layer properties prevent complete execution of this
command" - yet when I got to Format/Protection, none of the checkboxes are
ticked. Any ideas?

you might check out the shapesheet to see if some of the fields are guarded.
