We have an always-on connection to the internet, via an ADSL line. I have
Outlook set to automatically retrieve messages from the server every 15
minutes. Despite spam filters, I still get about 20 messges, or more, at
each automatic download.
I have recently noticed that I now can't do anything in Outlook (even type a
draft of a new message) while Outlook is downloading messages.
Is there a setting somewhere that I can click that will allow Outlook to
download quietly in the background? I have, I believe, quite a bit of RAM
and all that nifty stuff, so I don't think it's a memory problem.
Thanks!
Craig
