I run XP and have 2 users. all of a sudden, my wife couldn't get he
mail from Comcast. Comcast cheched the modem and its fine. th
wireless Linksys router ( which is junk!) was replaced with a new one.
This didn't help. so I logged onto comcast webmail and deleted he
emails and then sent her a test email and all was good
But now m
email is messed up. I can send but not receive. It counts th
messages on the server but doesn't download them and gives an erro
message. I also download my office email (Verizon DSL) which also n
longer arrives. So I figure maybe its the wireless network adapter. s
I set my account up on my kids computer that is hard wired into th
back of the wireless router and it works! Must be the adapter! So
change adapters and get the same result! So I switch users on m
machine to the little lady and she can download my email. So I ru
Norton and get nothing.
Error messages read "15 message(s) couldn't be retrieved from th
server. This usually happens when the connection to the server is los
due to server or network problems. If the problem persists, contac
your administrator.
Download Error (Account: office, POP# Server: "incoming verizon.net"
Error Number: 0x80040403).
These error messages fon't help as they are simply untrue or I wouldn'
be getting the same messages to the other user. Was going to reinstal
Outlook 2000 until message came to other user so I am now ver
confused! Any ideas out there
