Can't drag Safari Addr to Entourage message body

K

Kenneth B Winiecki

In Entourage 2004, I could drag the URL from the Safari Address box to the
body of an Entourage message, and the URL would appear as a link within the
message text. In Entourage 2008, when I do likewise, Entourage puts the URL
into an Attachment; and nothing goes into the body of the message. How do I
simply drag the URL into the body of the message without having to do
separate cut in Safari and then paste into the Entourage message text? Seems
like a real backward step.

Thanks,
Ken

Easy way is to use the Insert Safari URL script.

Not all browsers have this result. If you drag just the URL from Safari into
a message it works. If you drag by the icon in front of the URL, it's
attached.

So if other browsers work correctly, then who broke it? Apple or Microsoft?

Thanks. Dragging the URL instead of the icon works.
