Cant edit or type anything into documents

why is it i cant type anything into a document?
i have activated the 60 day trial period just then put in the acitivation
key code and all.but i am still unable to type anything in it keeps saying
this feature is locked?
it has taken me 3 hours to get this far and is really starting to annoy me
if this is how the trail version works then why would i want to upgrade to
the full paid version?

Are you REALLY sure that you've activated? Normally the product key is input
BEFORE the product is activated.
