Can't export address book

I am using Microsfot Office 2000 Professional. When I am in Outlook and try
to export the address book, I get the following: "..cannot start
import/export engine? Would you like to install it?" I reply Yes and get
the following: "...cannot start import/export engine because of windows
installer error 1635."

When I insert the Office 2000 Professional CD to try a repair, I get the
Microsoft chimes and nothing else. I can "open" the CD and run setup but get
a message that a patch package can't be opened.

I recently installed XP SP2. Could this have caused the problem?

What is the solution?
