can't export to pdf on different computer

I took over a database that runs two reports. The preferred way I save/send
the files is through pdf format. Even though another user has the same Adobe
Reader as me she is not able to put the reports into a pdf. Am I missing a
reference on her computer? How do I program around that so it automatically
uses pdf or another format if pdf is not an option? I want to automate as
many steps of that as possible. Thanks.
