can't figure out what is wrong

Hi I have a document with 15 pages with a header and footer on each page. I was trying to add page numbers and found the online help to do this. I used the insert ,bottom of page,center, 123 format starting at 2, chapter # not selected. Anyhow it worked up to page 7, but nothing after that. Page 8 is a blank page but does have a header and footer on it
This is followed by 2 pages that are slightly larger, and then the rest of the pages that are the normal size. Just wondering any ideas? Thanks paul.

Sounds like you've inserted a new section, with different page setup and
different (ie blank) headers.

ok thanks. Seems to be working now, did have a secondary section as you had suggested. Paul.
