Can't Find Chat Feature For Groove

S

Saidas

I have Groove as part of Office 2007 and my two colleagues just got Office
2007 Enterprise. The two of them have had Chat readily available to them
since they installed Groove, but I can't find it anywhere on mine. One of
them sent me a screenshot of what her screen lookes like and the Chat area
was clearly visible.

Is this maybe because they are using an Enterprise version?

Hi there,

If you are using a managed account, meaning that you are using an account
created by a an account key given to you by someone – a Groove Administrator
– in your organization, then you may be prevented from using the chat tool
due to a policy in your Groove Domain. Check with your Groove administrator
on this.

She wants me to have this. She sent an invitation to a third party who also
has Outlook 2007 Enterprise and it works fine. She sent me the same
invitation but does not and the only difference is that I don't have the
Enterprise version.

Shouldn't I have the Chat feature as part of Groove apart from the others
and I could invite them to me instead of the other way around? What am I
missing here?

Hi there,

To reiterate, if you have a managed account, and your Groove Administrator
has set a policy restricting chat, then you will not be able to use chat.
You should check with your Groove administrator to make sure that chat has
not been blocked.
