Can't find email "envelope"

Using Office XP with SP2 on WinXP with SP1.

Our Office Manager is having an odd problem this morning; she's pulled up
an old Word95 doc that is our letterhead and then clicked on the email icon,
but got an error stating that it couldn't find/open the email envelope.
Recommended we check the network connection or that there might be a problem
with Office.
We just changed ISP's. I verified that her Outlook 2003 settings were
correct, and got a successful test message sent. I also verified that she
has access to the network. I then did a Repair of Office using the
installation CD. Same result.

She states "it worked last time and I changed nothing". So ..... what do I
check next?

UPDATE: Tried to click on the E-Mail toolbar icon on my computer (Word XP
with SP2) and got the same error: "Word could not load the e-mail envelope.
This could be caused by a network connection problem or a problem with your
Office installation." I can use the File >>Send to... option just fine, but
not the toolbar icon.

Any ideas why?
