Can't find 'News' Command

J

JamesJ

I want Outlook 2007 to be the default email client, but I also want to
access newsgroups.
According to Outlook help I should place the 'News' command from the
customiizing of the
standard toolbar.
I see no 'News' in the categories of the 'Go' menu.

Any help will be appreciated,
James

Using Internet Explorer 7 and Windows Vista Home Premium. There is no
setting to set Outlook Express as the newsreader (checked that first thing).
The importing .reg files didn't work.

With Vista, you choose "Windows Mail", since that's OE's replacement. It
would have helped had you mentioned Vista at the start.

I still don't see 'News' but I'll use Outlook as my default email
and Windows Mail to access usenet.

Thanks,
James

When you open IE and click Tools>Internet Options>Programs, what's in the
"Newsgroups" drop-down?

Well, then, I don't have a solution. Every version of Internet Explorer V7
that I've seen has that drop-down on that tab.
