at the bottom of the page as in past projects

(I'm at work - and don't have Publisher on this system so forgive me if I
don't get it exactly right.)

It should be under View-Status Bar.

Page sorter tool is missing from the status bar. Two frustrating days is all
I can take. This is a brand new publisher 2007.

The very first time I installed publisher 2007, the status bar displayed page
sorter tabs. I had to unistall it and reinstall it and since then it will
not show the page sorter tool. Please, can you tell me a real person too
talk with on this problem? My old publisher 95 never caused me any problems,
this program is a nightmare!

Did you try the detect and repair? Is your Publisher program a trial? The status
bar is hard coded, so a repair to the installation may fix the issue.

The EXACT thing happened to me. I could see the page sorter tabs the first
time and had to re-install and presto, the page tabs are gone. I ran the
diagnostics (detect and repair) and it fixed a couple of things, but still no
page sorter! Never had the problem with the older Publisher. Can't find any
solutions.
PLEASE let me know what to do..

Did what you recommended: View, Status Bar. Clicked on all and still doesn't
show page sorter!
I'm ready to dump this junk!

If you are using 2007 the page sorter is hard coded. If you cannot see it, then
you need to do a detect and repair.
If you cannot get it back in earlier versions the same advice applies.

I'm having the very same problem and have done all the same steps and still
NO page sorter. We are having other major problems with other 2007 Microsoft
applications. I wish my company could go Apple and dump Microsoft - then I
could actually get some work done. End results to all the steps I've tried -
STILL NO PAGE SORTER!!

Earl, I went to Window then clicked on Arrange All just for giggles and my
page sorters suddenly reappeared!!!! My son made this suggestion - Thanks
goes to Chris.

Once in Publisher: Window --> Arrange All
After that the Page Sorter appeared in its proper place. If you have
mutliple Publisher files opened they'll be arranged side-by-side on your
screen, but the Sorter should reappear.

Hi Terri, Thanks for this post. There have been other folks with this issue.
This fix was great to know.

Great idea but it didn't work for me...
ask your son if he has any more ideas.

I have tried everything suggested here in Publisher 2007 and cannot get the
status bar back - any other suggestions.
We uninstalled /reinstalled
We tried the Windows -> arrange all
We tried Diagnostics

Thanks,

Jenny

Unfortunately this fix has not solved the problem with my Publisher 2007.
Still no page sorter. I have not uninstalled and reloaded Office 2007. The
software has been validated. I went through the whole Office Diagnostics
procedure. It said it fixed a few things but not the page sorter problem or
missing status bar problems obviously. This is really, really irritating. I
know the page sorter exists because my husbands Publisher 2007 that came with
his new computer has it. Mine, which I paid a lot of money for, does not and
the "Arrange all" fix did not work. I cannot go back to my old program
because it won't work on Vista. The page sorter may be hard coded but it
isn't appearing on my copy and neither is the status bar under "veiw."

Still no page sorter.

Check that the Windows taskbar isn't hiding your page sorter (move,
resize, or maximize your window, or move or resize the taskbar).

Were it that easy. The page sorter just isn't there. I've tried repair
through the "help" section and through the "add and remove programs" in
Control Panel. Nothing works.
