can't fix "group By"

( I inadvertently posted this to the wrong newsgroup the other day...I
hope someone who knows Outlook can help me.)
I played around with "group By" in my Sent e-mails page. Then, I
decided I didn't like to use "group by".

Unfortunately, I seem to be stuck with this shaded grey area, above
where my e-mails display (above the columns To From Subject Date
etc.)

Within this shaded grey are, it says "Drag a column header here to
group by that column". How can I get rid of this area? I've tried to
click/drag, etc. but it doesn't let me do that. .

I've tried several things, nothing works. I sure hope someone can
tell me how to "undo" it.

Right-click on the column headers and click "Group By Box". There is
also a button for this function on the Advanced toolbar.
