can't get auto update 1.1.2 to install

I have tried for the last week to get the update 1.1.2 to install on
my g3 iMac ,running 10.3.9
It meets all the requirements for office but when I try to install the
update it stops at the VISE screen. I tried the auto update and a
manual install of this update and it just wont work.

I just got office for my daughter to do her school work and I need to
install the updates. How can I get past this?

How exactly do you go about installing the update? Microsoft AutoUpdate
comes with Office 2004, so it should already be on your hard disk. Try
running the application to get it to update itself. If that fails, strictly
speaking, there is no real need for AutoUpdate. Go to Mactopia
<http://www.microsoft.com/mac/>, click on Downloads and make sure you
download the 11.3.5 combo updater for Office 2004. This updater applies all
the updates that have been made to Office since its release in 2004, so you
can be sure that your copy of Office 2004 is up-to-date.

What version of Office did you get? Office X or Office 2004. Hopefully you
did not get Office X as it is not updated for the new Daylight Saving Time
as it¹s an end of life application and is no longer being updated.
