can't get drawing scale to meet my paper size correctly

Ok, I am stumped.

I am trying to get an existing kitchen layout put into Visio 2003 pro, using
the exact measurements, and put it on a 11x17 paper. The room is roughly 25ft
by 22 ft. When I use the default 'drawing scale' settings, it is a tiny
little box on my big piece of paper. How do I set the drawing scale to to the
following:
-fit this measured room to the full size of the paper
-have the grid lines be one inch each

Every setting I try in the scale makes it way too big, or far too tiny. I
gcan't get the grid lines to be one inch per line either. ... help!

Page Size: Ansi Engineering, B:17" x 11", Landscape
Drawing Scale : Architectural , 3/8" - 1 ft

This gives you 45 ft 4 in x 29 ft 4 in, which fits a room 25 ft x 22 ft
nicely, with space for title and notes

David,

Thanks. That seems to work well. I will work with it more, and if I have any
further issues, I will post it here.

It would be nice if MS would add better help on scale size in the help...If
you start with the wrong scale, your whole visio drawing is a waste of time.
regards,
Desmond
