Can't get hotmail to work with Outlook 2003

I set up my email account in hotmail and tried to add it to outlook using the
hotmail settings in 'add new email account.' It won't deliver mail whenever
I send/recieve, I get a message that I need to check my user name and
password. Server reply is 'Forbidden'. Both are correct and work on msn
website. What am I doing wrong. I depend on outlook to manage my contacts?

You need the Outlook Connector to use Hotmail in Outlook 2003.
Get it here:

To continue to receive e-mail from your Hotmail account, you need to select
one of the methods below to connect to Hotmail. Beginning September 1, 2009
new e-mail can only be delivered to your mail programs using these methods.

If you use Outlook 2003/2007, you can download the free Outlook Connector or
use POP3. If you're using Outlook 2002 and older, you will need to change
the account to use POP3. If you use Outlook Express to view Hotmail, you
can choose between downloading Windows Live Mail (free) or reconfigure your
account to use POP3. See http://www.slipstick.com/problems/msn_denied.asp
for details.
