can't get office updates automatically , any suggestions ?

office update keeps telling me my updates engine is not up to date . how do i
update this to get automatic updates. i have office 2000 and some of office
xp (word 2002).

Possible that the Update gets confused not knowing if Off2000 or Off2002(XP)
