Can't get powerpoint slides to show up on TV

My PowerPoint slides had been working fine with my TV. I
could view the presentation on by monitor and TV at the
same time.
While I was playing with the "Set up slide show" options
(I had never messed with that before), the images stopped
showing on the TV screen and the appearance of everyting
on my monitor changed. I believe it occurred when I
changed the resolution setting.
I finally got my monitor back to where it looks right,
but I can't get images to show up on the TV.
What should I try?

Let me start with a disclaimer: I don't know.

But here are the things I would check if I was in your situation:
- Most laptops have a toggle screen out function (Function & F5 keys or
similar). I'd try pressing this a number of times
- Check if Windows has the second desktop window enabled
- Check if the Video/TV out is run off the second monitor and if the set-up
show allows for using Secondary monitor. Change this and see if it works.
- Read the manufacturers manual (ok, I don't either unless I have to) about
using the Video/TV out

Let us know if these do not work. Include your brand and model of laptop,
and (to get on the good side of the PP MVP's) your version of PowerPoint
(even though I do not think this will be a PowerPoint problem).

LOL!

I really do try to whine/p*ss/moan about that only when it really does
make a difference.
