Can't get rid of a watermark.

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Power PC

My document shows and prints a watermark on some of the pages. I can't get rid of it. Under "Insert Watermark" the "No Watermark" option is checked. This is a .doc document being used in compatibility mode. I also tried inserting a new watermark but cannot do that either.

View | Header and Footer.

Now you should be able to select and delete the watermark (which is just
a graphic inserted in the header or footer).
