Cant get rid of envelope.

There is always an envelope at the top when i open a blank doc. I tried the
normal.dot thing ( http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/BlankDocNotBlank.htm )
and it didnt work. I dont know how to get rid of it!!!!

By 'tried normal.dot thing' you mean searched for and 'deleted' normal.dot?

Is it likely to be an envelope icon for outlook? I am just guessing
because I don't understand the question or I am having a slight problem
to imagine what could this be!!. London (UK) is getting warmer!!!
