I recently got a new computer with Windows XP on it. My
old computer had Windows 98. I attempted to reinstall my
OfficePro 95 programs onto the new machine. Everything
reinstalled fine EXCEPT Access. With Access, I got the
error message "SQLInstallDriver failed for ODBC driver
Microsft Access Driver."
After doing some hunting I see that this problem was
known for Windows 2000 and some odd fix involving a font
was involved, but the directions don't apply to Windows
XP. Is there a newer version of this fix around? Can
someone point me to it?
If not, can someone at least point me to some program I
can use to view the material in my address book, which
was the only Access file I had but which has important
data on it I need to be able to at least view?
