Can't get "unhide" function to work on columns.

I can select a column and "hide" it, but I cannot get the "unhide" function
to work.

Fay, how are you doing it? try selecting the columns on each side of the one
that you hide, if you hide column C select column B & D and then unhide

If I've hidden columns C:G (say) and want to see column E, I'll do this:

Edit|goto, and type E1
then format|column|unhide
or maybe:
format|column|width and make it big enough to see.
