Hi there,

I am in a bit of a quandry here. I am using Front Page 2002, and everytime
I go to hyperlink using the hyperlink tool, I get a dialog box that says:
"Microsoft FrontPage has stopped working...Windows is checking for a solution
to the problem..." and then Front Page shuts down entirely.

I have Windows Vista. I used to run Windows 98. CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT
THE HECK IS GOING ON? I'm desperate for suggestions and/or answers! Hope to
hear from anyone soon!

Sincerely,
Tom

Manually delete all temporary files in your FrontPage cache. Then try these suggestions:

1. Try to make the hyperlink using CTL-K instead of the toolbar icon.
If this works, delete the hyperlink toolbar icon and then make a new one.

2. Do not open any FP webs. Make a new HTML page with no CSS or includes. Write one
sentence of text, and then try to add a hyperlink using the hyperlink tool.
If this works, then there is something complex in your page that FP is choking on.

I had the same problem. My neice told me to go into the HTML view and type it
in. I didn't remember how so I cut and pasted from another page.

Nope.
The issue posted by the OP is a known bug when using FrontPage in Vista.

It came with 6.016001 Service Pack 1 Build 6001. According to Windows Update,
this is the latest update and service pack for Windows Vista.
Any more possibilities? Running out of time. PLEASE HELP.

Sincerely,
ArtEd68
