I'm trying to figure out how to save a MS Project 2003
Report such as a To Do list? I know I can print this but
can't I save it? Help!

Thanks,
Melissa

"Save" them on paper (which you are doing), or save electronically by
sending them to Adobe PDF format (with Adobe Acrobat www.adobe.com or
other PDF creatro), or other electronic format, e.g. the Microsoft
Office Document Image Writer (which I believe is part of Office).

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Rob, Thanks for your reply. When I do
View/Reports/Assignments/To Do List and it appears, there
isn't a menu item to save this view nor can I right click
to do a "Save As". Any other suggestions?

All the suggestions I made relate to how these separate products
interact with a standard Windows program, of which Project is one. you
need to buy or otherwise obtain a PDF writer, or use your existing
Microsoft Document Image Writer (available, if you have it). Both these
ideas are available on the File/print menu (if you have them). Get them
if you need/want them.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the tip on Project Viewer. Correct me if I'm
wrong, but it sounds like this applet would allow me (for
my specific issue) to take a screenshot of the Report and
save it out as a file. So this sounds like doing a PrtScn
and pasting it into MSPaint....I guess I'll start with
that. Not ideal but an option.

Thanks,
Melissa

You're welcome, Melissa :) Pity Project doesn't have a better answer :(

Melissa,
I might as well throw my hat in the ring also. As Mike noted, Project
does not allow built-in Reports to be saved, directly. However, if you
have some experience with VBA, you can develop a macro that takes the
same information in any of the built-in Reports and exports it to
another application. I do it all the time by exporting to Excel. This
approach also allows the report to be customized to your exact needs.

At least this is another option.
